COVID-19 has brought the world to a halt in 2020, and also affected the coffee industry and DUTCH LAB. All the exhibits have been canceled or postponed. The coffee industry was also affected by the COVID-19. Instead of the traditional coffee culture based on placeability (The third space), the Corona era began to require differentiation in situations based on the premise of ‘social distance’. So now all coffee service companies are on the same starting line again. Is unmanned coffee culture the answer in the Untact era?
We approached the Untact era service with F&B contents, which were conceived as stories, not non-face-to-face and automation. we propose content from F&B creators who produce the best coffee through location-based stories.
Every coffee shop around the world serves coffee that barista has brewed using espresso machine.
DUTCH LAB presents a method that one barista can manage the whole brand.
People of South Korea are known to drink 373 cups of coffee per year in average. Coffee is not just a drink, it is one of the service that affects every factor in daily lives. Hence, DUTCH LAB is defining coffee as a culture of modern society and part of daily lives, not just a drink. DUTCH LAB is creating new contents by converting the coffee service itself with the concept of “Design coffee”
Newly designed DUTCH LAB coffee redefines barista from a producer to a creator. Barista becomes the creator who designs and plans the flavor and aroma of coffee from the user of espresso machine in every coffee shop, suggesting the innovation of coffee service. For this, DUTCH LAB boldly excludes espresso machine in coffee shop. Instead, DUTCH LAB brews coffee that can deliver the story with flavor and aroma by using distinctive brewing & blending technique.
“Contents by the creator ( = COFFEE ) ”
DUTCH LAB Creator (barista) will no longer introduce coffee from its origin.
Coffee will be explained from the stories and know-how of the creators, not thru difficult explanations that comes from the origin such as Kenya AA, Guatemala, Ethiopia, etc.

Every offline store has unique value that comes from its venue.
